One of our favourite quotes by Brianna Wiest is "Your New Life is Going to Cost your Old One" so today we're here to break it down for you and to give some opinions on this deep and meaningful quote.
The cost of fulfilling your dreams is giving up the person you used to be, the one who is full of excuses as to why you can't. It's going to cost your comfort zone, and your sense of direction. It's also going to cost you relationships, friendships, being liked and understood. It won't be easy but you will feel better.
It's an end of an era, but a better one is waiting for you. With new people, new friends, new comfort zone around the things that actually move you forward.
Outdated information is irrelevant today, so you need to upgrade the version of yourself in order to help you reach your goals for the future. You have old habits that are continuing to show up. Old habits can be really hard to break because they have found comfort in your life. You may also fall out of alignment with some people and you may not go along with them as you did before maybe for years, but don't feel guilty or bad about it, it's completely normal, people come and go and the only thing that we have/can do is to accept that. It doesn't mean that they are bad people, it simply means ya'll time together has come to an end.
All of this is a part of the change that comes with striving toward a new life. Changing or upgrading your life requires embracing change, it comes with a lot of fear, it will be scary , but it's normal and in the end you will understand and accept your growth.
Instead of liked, you're going to be loved. Instead of worrying what people think about you, your mind will be free and you will feel confident.

We have to accept and to understand that our thoughts are not just thoughts. They are much more than that, they influence and sometimes control our lives. Our thoughts are more than powerful. Try to pause for a minute and give yourself a moment to think about your daily thoughts. Ask yourself this question: ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ALIGNED WITH THE PERSON YOU WANT TO BE?
Think about what you're negative thought are doing to you and to your life on a daily basis, are you thought holding you back from the life that you want to have or are they helping you to grow? Negative thoughts cause stagnation in your life and they lower your vibration.
I'm sure you had the same issue a few times as most of us, where and how do I start eliminating my negative thoughts? Our answer is: Great things take time. So don't get scared if your life won't change immediately. First, give yourself some grace, a treat. 9 times out of 10 you didn't realise what you were doing. It became normal for you to think negatively about everything that you do, you never feel thankful to yourself and you never take time to give yourself an applause for your achievements. BUT IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS WAY. Self love and self acceptance should always come first no matter what.
It's extremely easy to get trapped in the negative thoughts and inner critic. This trap causes you to perceive things in a certain way, but guess what? This is not the end, today you're here, you're breathing, you're living, you woke up and got to work. You got another day to begin again, it's a new start. Look at every single day as a new chance, a new opportunity.
1. ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR THOUGHTS
Accept and challenge them. You can control your thoughts, they don't control your life or your actions. Reprogram your mind, hit the button RESET. Replace the negative thoughts with positive ones. You have to remind yourself of who you are, and remind yourself of what you're capable of. It's fundamental to be your own cheerleader, advocate and fan.
2. BE OPEN TO CHANGE
Changes are great, it means that something new is coming, a new beginning and another chance to grow. You must embrace the positive changes in your life daily. Then it will come automatically to find new habits that will align with your goals.
3. FOCUS ON HABITS
Be intentional, make a plan. Routine is key. Create a routine that will help you align with your goal. Start with making a small morning routine.
4. FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED
Execute your plan. The biggest mistake that everybody makes daily is not finishing something that they have started. When you start having a routine, stick to it. You must continue, if a routine vibes with who you want to be, it will spill into all areas of your life and you will feel big changes and will feel better. As we already said, good things take time.
5. REWARD YOURSELF
Be grateful for the things that you have and for the things that you do. If you want to become a better version of yourself, you have to cherish great moments. You must feel proud. in conclusion, understanding that you can change your thoughts and that they will make a big difference in how you show up in life.
